What We Do and Why We Do It

When asked what SwanDog Strategic Marketing does, the real answer is that we bring our many years of strategic marketing experience to bear on the business problems of financial services firms—whatever those may be. Unfortunately, our clients tell us that answer is too vague, overly wordy and doesn’t really convey all the expertise we offer. In short, SwanDog helps financial services firms (distributors and manufacturers):

At SwanDog, we believe that the financial services space is underserved by marketing. With the industry rapidly maturing, the time for classic marketing is now or never. We’ve assembled a team of “practitioners” to tackle your problems head on. With an average of 20 years in the financial services space, our partners are prepared to help you with everything from developing your marketing thinking and brand strategy to building “consumer-styled” marketing organizations. We even go one step further, providing training and development of your team through our unique Marketing Fuel™ workshop. We choose to work with a small number of firms that we can come to know intimately. That’s because we don’t believe there is a one-size-fits-all solution, in spite of the commodity nature of our business. Rather, it’s our belief that your firm is what it is and it’s our job to help you recognize your point of difference and emphasize that to your customers.

In 2008, we broadened our offerings to include digital marketing strategy with the formation of a strategic alliance with Rock The Boat Marketing, LLC. Rock The Boat is a digital strategy consultancy headed by Pat Allen.  The SwanDog team and Pat have worked together off and on for the last 15 years, including last year on the development of the Beyond The Collateral site. Pat is a passionista on the subject of financial services companies’ use of the Web.
